Christy has been writing music her whole life, but after turning down the songwriting job in Nashville, and returning to Haines to run The Bamboo Room and Pioneer Bar, she went through a 20 year spell of not writing a single song.

It was only after starting to watch Dr. Phil did Christy start writing songs again. And since then, she has written and recorded over 60 songs based on the words of Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw. Below are a few demos of those songs.

Every episode of Dr. Phil starts with these words, "This is going to be a changing day in your life"

This is a classic Dr. Phil expression.

Robin McGraw, on her podcast I've Got A Secret, shared a quote she really likes, "I never knew how strong I was until I had to forgive someone who was not sorry and accept an apology that was not given." This song also reflects Dr. Phil's Life Law #9: There is Power in Forgiveness.

This is Dr. Phil’s "like we say in Texas" advice. On his January 1, 2012 episode, he said, "It's the right time to put all your drama and your bad choices in the rear-view mirror."
